Solar electric fencing

Round-the-clock protection, powered by the sun

Solar electric fences for farms, plots, farmhouses and industrial sites. They keep animals and intruders out with a safe, pulsed shock, and run on solar power with battery backup, day and night.

Why a solar fence

A boundary that protects itself

A solar electric fence turns an ordinary boundary into a strong deterrent, without needing a power line.

Keeps animals out

Stops wild boar, cattle and other animals from damaging crops and property.

Deters intruders

A visible, live fence discourages trespass, theft and pilferage.

Runs on solar power

No grid connection needed, so it works on remote farms and open plots.

Low running cost

Free power from the sun, with simple upkeep once it is installed.

How it works

From sunlight to a safe, sharp shock

The fence is not live all the time. It carries short pulses of current that deter on contact, then switch off.

What's included

Everything your fence needs

A complete system, supplied and fitted by our own team.

Solar panel

Charges the battery from sunlight, sized for your energiser.

Energiser

The control unit that sends the safe, pulsed shock along the fence.

Battery and charger

Stores power so the fence stays live at night and on cloudy days.

Wires and insulators

Fence wires held on insulators so the current stays in the wire.

Earthing kit

Earth rods that complete the circuit and make the shock effective.

Warning signs

Clear signs along the fence so people know it is live.

Safety standards

Installed the right way

Every fence we fit follows these installation requirements, in line with national and international safety standards.

Works with most fences

We add electric wires to most existing fences, but never use barbed wire, which can trap animals.

Certified energiser

The energiser must be tested and certified by ETDC, Government of India.

Proper earthing

Enough earth kits for your fence, kept well away from your building's mains earthing.

Tested voltage

We check the fence voltage at two to three points. It should read between 5 kV and 10 kV.

Secure control unit

The energiser sits in a safe, weatherproof place and is never connected directly to AC mains.

Clear surroundings

Vegetation is kept away from the wires so it does not drain the voltage.

Never wire a fence to the mains

Fences connected directly to mains electricity are illegal and dangerous, and have cost lives. A certified energiser is the only safe way to electrify a fence.

How we work

From survey to a live fence

Five simple steps, all handled by our own team.

  1. 1

    Site survey

We walk the perimeter, check the terrain and understand what you need to keep out.

  2. 2

    Design

We choose the energiser, battery, wire lines and fence height for your site.

  3. 3

    Installation

Posts, insulators, wires, earthing and the energiser, fitted by our own team.

  4. 4

    Test and handover

We test the voltage along the fence and show you how to use and check it.

  5. 5

    Service

Periodic checks and battery care to keep the fence working.

Fence calculator

How much fence will you need?

Enter your land area for a quick estimate of the perimeter and the wire needed.

Quick estimate

For a roughly square plot.

acres
Fence perimeter, roughly570 m
In feet1,870 ft
Wire needed2.8 km

Rough guide only. Assumes a square plot, so long, narrow or irregular plots will need more fence. Wire length is perimeter × lines, before allowances for gates and joins.

What sets the size of your system

Fence length

The longer the perimeter, the more powerful the energiser needs to be.

Number of wire lines

Small animals need lines close to the ground, while larger animals and intruders need a taller fence.

Terrain and vegetation

Grass and plants touching the wires drain the voltage, so overgrown sites need more power.

Alarms and zones

Larger sites can be split into zones with their own alarms.

We size the energiser, battery and solar panel for your site after the survey.

FAQs

Questions about solar fencing

Is a solar electric fence safe?

A properly installed fence uses a certified energiser that sends short, controlled pulses. Anyone touching it gets a sharp, unpleasant shock that makes them pull away, which deters without causing lasting harm. We fit warning signs along the fence and set it up to safety standards.

Can I just connect a fence to the mains?

No, never. Fences wired straight to mains electricity are illegal and have caused deaths of people and animals. A solar fence works through an energiser, which turns battery power into brief, safe pulses. That is the only safe way to electrify a fence.

Does it work at night and in the monsoon?

Yes. The solar panel charges a battery during the day, and the battery runs the energiser round the clock, including at night and on cloudy days.

Can you electrify my existing fence?

Usually, yes. Most existing fences can carry electric wires on insulators. Barbed wire is the exception, because it can trap animals, so we use plain fence wire instead.

How long a fence can one system cover?

It depends on the energiser's rating, the number of wire lines, the terrain and how much vegetation is around. We size the energiser and battery for your perimeter after the site survey.

Can it alert me when someone touches the fence?

Yes. We can add alarm and monitoring options so you know straight away when the fence is touched, cut or shorted. Ask us what suits your site.

What maintenance does it need?

Keep grass and plants trimmed away from the wires, since vegetation drains the fence voltage. Check the voltage now and then, and keep the battery in good condition. We offer servicing visits too.

Where do you install?

We work from our offices in Hyderabad and New Delhi and handle farms, plots and sites around them. For other locations, call us on 9705 9705 45.
